Adobe AIR is an application required by other programs in order to run. It is available for multiple platforms and first time was released in 2008.
This program allows interactions with multimedia applications developed in dependence with Adobe Air.
Usually, programs that use the touch screen, gestures, accelerometers, GPS will require it. The application itself includes Adobe Flash Player and is built with ActionScript.
